Kathleen has always been enchanted with the land of the fae. Like many artists, she started drawing at a young age, but it was merely for fun.
It wasn't until 2004, that she began creating art professionally. Kathleen is a self taught artist and has always drawn using her mouse and paint programs, although, she has begun painting with watercolors in hopes of sharing her original creations with those who love fairy art.
Kathleen's greatest influences have always been Brian Froud, Amy Brown, and Myrea Pettit.
Kathleen says, "Fairy art, for me, has become a spiritual journey, of sorts. It's not just about the art, but about life, the person I am, family, and friends. I feel a connection that I just can't explain."
Currently, Kathleen creates digital fairy art. She says, " It helps me to reveal what I feel about the fairy world: bright colors, rounded, whimsical shapes, and textures. What I lack in formal training, I make up for with determination and a passion for my art. . My fairies have a bit of a cartoon-y look to them, with a fun, romantic feel that appeals to people of all ages
