July 2008 I've been finding my chemo cycles recently too draining (and achey!) for painting lately, but I have a couple of other big exciting announcments for you!
- The website has a brand new look! I thought it was about time for a redesign, so the site's had a big make over to a beautiful new enchanting layout, with improved navigation and information sections. I hope you like this new, more magical feeling site. Feel free to let me know what you think!
- The BIG news is that Journals are finally in stock! It feels great to finally have my hands on these, and literally too, they feel so wonderful. The journals are solidly made, hard covered with a patterned faux suede fabric, are 8x10" in size and have 100 unlined pages of beige parchment for you to use for just about anything.
- The Fairy Queens artworks I created a month ago are now available on a Coffee Mug and in Stationery Sets and Cameos, see them in the New Releases section along with the new Moonlit Magic coffee mug and more.
- I've also just got the stock in of the new Cameo Pendants setting I have designed. These new settings are a step up in quality from the previous cameos (which were hardly lacking, if I may say so!). They are made from lead and nickel free pewter, plated with antique silver. I hope you like the new design!

************************* Phew, all done! Yes, couldn't resist the re-design, once you get that itch.... I'm now off to go and eat three kinds of fat on crackers and relax for a while ^_^

I'm going for the exciting post titles, eh! Well I just got back from the movies, my mom and dad and I went to see "Journey to the Center of the Earth". It was quite enjoyable even with the cheesy parts. We had actually tried to see "Hancock" originally, but the theater was so packed only the front row was open and that's no fun. So we had to change out our tickets. But that's ok, I still had fun! There aren't any 3-D theaters around here so we saw it in regular 2-D, but I could tell there would have been a lot of "surprise" moments, haha. Oh yeah -- I managed to finish putting my new Drawing Trees with Faces tutorial on my website, find it here: http://www.carmenkeys.com/tutorials/treetutorial.html. Some of the lighting looks pretty weird in the pictures because I had done the tutorial while sketching in the tent when we went camping a couple of weeks ago, so the flash did some strange things with it. Hopefully it is still workable! So President Bush came to our area the other day to assess the fire damage and we went to watch Air Force One come in at the local airport. It was really big, I haven't any idea how it got down on our little runway!! I guess Arnold convinced him to give us money, he saw how bad it was. I got way better/closer pictures of the plane and people with my dad's long lens camera, but I have a digital one to show below before the door was opened. Whatever one's disagreement or agreement with the politics, it is pretty exciting to have a president come to your town. :) We haven't had one here since JFK dedicated the Shasta Dam. It has been smoky as pea soup lately!! Getting worse for some reason, maybe it's just settling in. Lots of ash floating about. Anyway, I have some pictures of stuff! ( Click here for pictures of stuff! )And that is all I have for today. :)
